Commencement 2024

Midlakes' 2024 commencement ceremony is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 in the Midlakes High School Auditorium and last approximately two hours.

Doors will open to ticketed guests at 6:15 p.m. Seating will be on a first-come, first served basis. Students will receive six tickets along with other instructions during mandatory graduation rehearsal at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. Extra tickets will be distributed after rehearsal. Please bring your caps to rehearsal.

STUDENT REMINDERS

1. Caps and Gowns
2. Tassels
3. National Honor Society stoles and National Technical Honor Society cords
4. Wear appropriate shoes for walking on stage.
5. Dress appropriately:
   • Please remember that the Commencement Ceremony is a formal event and attire should reflect such.
   • Girls are HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to wear light colors since you will be wearing a light blue gown.
   • Boys are required to wear slacks, a shirt and tie, and preferably dress shoes. No shorts are allowed.
   • Due to safety issues, flip flops and slide sandals are prohibited.
   • If you choose to decorate your cap, please be sure it is appropriate for all ages. Also, please maintain a low profile so as not to block the graduate behind you!

6. Be sure to arrive no later than 6 p.m.
7. The Football Field will again be available for post-graduation photos (weather dependent).

GUEST REMINDERS

1. Doors open at 6:15 p.m.
2. You must have a ticket to enter.
3. The east side of the bus loop will be available for Handicap Parking Only. NO PARKING IN OTHER AREAS OF BUS LOOP.
4. General parking will be available in the Middle/High School South Lot #I and the Middle/High School North Lot #2. Golf cart shuttles will be available, if assistance is needed.
5. Please remain seated once the ceremony starts. A photographer will take pictures of the event. Photos will be provided through link on the district website a few days after graduation.
6. The ceremony will be live streamed on the Midlakes School YouTube Channel.
